Your Right to Delete Data

At MediaPostAI, we respect your privacy and your right to control your personal data. You may request the deletion of your account and all associated data at any time. This page explains what data we store, how to request deletion, and what happens when your data is deleted.

What Data We Store

When you use MediaPostAI, we may store the following data:

  • Account information: Name, email address, hashed password, and avatar.
  • Business profiles: Business name, industry, description, branding details, and uploaded logos.
  • Social media connections: Page names, page IDs, and encrypted OAuth tokens for connected platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter/X, TikTok).
  • Posts and media: AI-generated and user-uploaded images, videos, captions, hashtags, and scheduling data.
  • Media library: Files you have uploaded to your media library.
  • Subscription data: Plan information and usage counters (payment details are stored by Stripe, not by us).

How to Request Data Deletion

You can request deletion of your data through any of the following methods:

Option 1: Email Request

Send an email to [email protected] with the subject line "Data Deletion Request" and include your registered email address. We will verify your identity and process your request within 30 days.

Option 2: In-App Account Deletion

Log in to your MediaPostAI account, navigate to Settings → Account, and click "Delete Account". This will immediately begin the deletion process.

Option 3: Facebook Data Deletion Callback

If you connected your Facebook account to MediaPostAI, you can request data deletion directly from your Facebook Settings under "Apps and Websites". When you remove MediaPostAI from Facebook, we receive a callback and will automatically delete all data associated with your Facebook connection.

What Happens When Data Is Deleted

Upon processing your deletion request:

  • Your account and login credentials are permanently removed.
  • All business profiles and associated settings are deleted.
  • All connected social media page tokens are revoked and removed.
  • All posts (draft, scheduled, and published records) are deleted from our database.
  • All media files (uploaded and AI-generated) are permanently removed from our cloud storage.
  • All subscription data is deactivated (active subscriptions are cancelled).
  • Any scheduled posts that have not yet been published will be cancelled.

Note: Content that has already been published to third-party social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter/X, TikTok) is managed by those platforms. Deleting your MediaPostAI data does not remove posts already published on those platforms. You must delete those directly through the respective platform.

Processing Timeline

  • In-app deletion: Processing begins immediately. Data is fully purged within 30 days.
  • Email request: We will confirm receipt within 48 hours and complete deletion within 30 days.
  • Facebook callback: Processing begins automatically upon receiving the callback from Meta.

Data We May Retain

In certain cases, we may retain minimal data as required by law (e.g., financial transaction records for tax purposes). Such data will be anonymized where possible and stored securely for the legally required retention period only.
